Beard growth

Beard growth follows the same principle as hair growth and is primarily controlled by the hormones testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. The growth cycle is divided into three phases:

Growth phase: During this phase, hair is actively growing. In healthy beard growth, 80-90% of the hair is in the growth phase.

Transition phase: In the transition phase, active hair growth ends and the hair follicle shrinks.

Resting phase: In this final phase, the hair rests and falls out last.

The thickness of your beard is largely a matter of genetics, but other factors such as your age, grooming, diet, and lifestyle can also significantly influence beard growth.
