What is the difference between The Woods Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum?

The Woods Extrait de Parfum is the more intense and luxurious version of The Woods Eau de Parfum – perfect for anyone who loves the fragrance but wants to experience it even more deeply and for a longer lasting experience. With a higher perfume oil concentration, it lasts longer on the skin and unfolds its multifaceted notes with greater intensity. While the Eau de Parfum opens with a powerful top note of bergamot, black pepper, and fresh ginger, the Extrait develops more gently, focusing on the sensual base notes of cashmere wood, myrrh, and frankincense. This creates an even deeper, more complex fragrance composition that melts into the skin and reveals new nuances over the hours. For true The Woods fans, the Extrait is a must-have – it elevates the fragrance's signature DNA to a new, luxurious level!

The perfume was developed by Parisian perfumer Mark Buxton. With more than 25 years of experience creating high-quality fragrances, Mark is one of the best perfumers in the world.

How high is the percentage of perfume oil?

Our Extrait de Parfum has a particularly high fragrance concentration and, at 30%, is our most intense and luxurious fragrance variant.

How many sprays do I need for an optimal fragrance experience?

For an optimal fragrance experience, we recommend that you apply 3 sprays to the pulse points (e.g. on the wrist or behind the ear) for full sizes, depending on the desired intensity. Because the top note dominates in our classic Eau de Parfum, it can have a more intense effect immediately after application than the extrait. The fragrance development here is more subtle and much more nuanced, with a focus on the heart and base notes. The fragrance therefore develops a little more slowly, but is all the more intense and long-lasting.

Where is the perfume made and how is it shipped?
Each of our perfumes is handmade in Germany and sent to you CO2-neutrally via DHL.
How is the perfume packaged?
Our bottles are made in a small glassworks in Germany and sprayed by hand. The material for the packaging and the labels come from an Italian manufacturer and are printed with the utmost care by a Hamburg printing company. Every single bottle is filled and labeled by hand for you.
